Zoopla is launching its new marketing campaign on Christmas Day.
The portal says that the one minute TV advertisment: “Will reach over 26m UK adults, using real-life British homes to highlight why we’re a crucial moving partner.
“And for the first time, we’re celebrating agents, showcasing how your expertise helps Zoopla movers unlock their next move.”
Those a little behind the times with their understanding of modern language usage may be somewhat nonplussed by hearing that apparently, estate agents are, ‘GOAT’.
A goat? A creature given to bleating, butting and occasional tree-climbing? Surely not.
Thinking we had misheard the word, here at EYE we had to listen several times before we got it. And we still had to Google its meaning…
It stands for ‘Greatest Of All Time’, which is a lovely sentiment, but the meaning of the acronym may well be lost on a proportion of the population over the age of about 30.
That aside, it’s great to see the industry being put front and centre of the campaign, though it must be said that the name of ‘Sharpe & O’Hare’ on the for-sale board in the opening sequences might prompt unwelcome references to ‘sharp practice’. Perish the thought!
